Japanese Television II recorded in an isolated village hall by Kristian of the Wytches onto 8 track tape and in follow up to their 2018 acclaimed self-titled debut EP and single Tick Tock, which garnered strong support with 20 plays from BBC 6 Music and Best Music and EP of 2018 acclaim from Amy Lame and Gideon Coe at the station. JTV also found early tastemaker support from the likes of Radio X's John Kennedy, BBC London, Amazing Radio, Louder Than War, and Far Out Magazine.
